I had commuted for years to different towns, commuting up to 45 minutes away. Now I was working 1 mile from my home in a town I had lived in since 1971. It became evident to me after 1 year at the library that there were a large number of people who did not come to the library. It seemed most of the patrons were educated, middle to upper class.
