Chelsea Price is the director of Meservey Public Library in Meservey, Iowa. Chelsea’s favorite part of her job is programming and working with the community to help Meservey thrive and grow. Since she started as director in 2015, program attendance numbers have more than tripled, and she hopes they will continue to increase. When not at the library, she loves pet sitting and volunteering at various animal shelters around the state.
Chelsea has also written a book about programming in small libraries on a small budget. It will be available through ALA Editions in the fall of 2020. If you can’t wait to read ideas from Chelsea, check out her writing on Programming Librarian: https://programminglibrarian.org/user/1473.
Chelsea is a Co-Creator Partner with the Rural Library Service and Social Wellbeing Project. She is actively developing resources and tools from these findings for her colleagues in rural libraries throughout the nation.
